"You ain't gonna believe this shit!"
Christopher William Ewing, 62, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Chris devoted his life to God and family and loved them above all else. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Karen Cook Ewing, his daughters Fran Ewing Hitt and Riley Ewing, son-in-law John Tucker Hitt, and grandson John Tucker Hitt, Jr. Chris is the youngest of six sibilings, Charles “Sandy” Ewing III and wife Charlotte, Katherine Ewing and husband Bruce Goodman, Tim Ewing and wife Kay, Hope O’Quin and husband Greg, Robin Ewing and wife Suzanne.
If you had the pleasure of meeting Chris, you already know that he will not be easily forgotten. He made a lasting impression on everyone he came in contact with. After marrying the love of his life, he built a successful business, raised two amazing daughters, and showed them the world. He celebrated life and friendships every day. But his greatest joy was the arrival of his grandson. When little Tucker Hitt, Jr. wins The Masters, Chris’ legacy will be complete.
His life was as rich and full as the food he loved to cook. No one put more effort into feeding and entertaining people than he did. He was the life of the party, a gifted storyteller, and the funniest one in the room at all times. If you met Chris, you knew about his love for golf and/or horses in about five minutes and were likely to find him on either the golf course or at the racetrack. He took his last breath in the place he worked so hard to build, surrounded by guys who called him boss as well as friend.
A place he poured his heart into and built from the ground up. He worked hard so he could live the life he dreamed of, then actually lived the dream. Chris taught us to be bold, stand firm in your faith, and remember to always have fun. So don’t wait. He made sure to live his life every single day to the fullest. Make the bucket list, take the bet, book the trip, and do it with the ones you love the most.
